Duncan Nealon, MD of Bendigo Mitchell, has been announced as the new Vice Chairman of the Fork Lift Truck Association.

OriginalMr Nealon is the Managing Director of the Kenilworth-based company which delivers high quality lift truck hire, sales, contract maintenance and breakdown support.

Peter Harvey, FLTA Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Duncan to this key position and look forward to the energy and enterprise he will bring to it. “His breadth of knowledge in sales, hire, servicing – and particularly marketing – will be invaluable as the Association moves into new areas.”

Duncan began his career at the bottom at Bendigo Mitchell, cleaning trucks in the mid-90s before being promoted to run their service desk.

He then moved to Switzerland to work for Komatsu dealer Neuwerth Logistics.

After a Business and French degree he then joined the globally-renowned advertising agency McCann Erickson as their Head of Research and Insight.

Mr Nealon later returned to Bendigo Mitchell in 2009 and assumed the role of Managing Director of the company the following year.

“The FLTA is one of the foremost trade organisations in the country and leads the way in raising standards within our industry,” said Mr Nealon, “so I’m very proud to play my part and help shape its future.

“Fork lifts have been in my blood ever since I can remember and I’m excited about the prospect of helping FLTA Members set themselves apart from the competition with the guarantee of service, quality and reliability that is synonymous with the FLTA marque.”
