Jungheinrich has been recognised for its leading design qualities, winning an iF Design Award for its ECE 225 horizontal order picker in the category for Automobiles, Vehicles and Bikes at a glamorous awards ceremony held at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany.

ECE-225

Jungheinrich’s ECE 225 horizontal order picker won-over the jury with its high degree of userfriendliness and excellent ergonomics. They said Jungheinrich redefined the design concept of its vehicles to create an unmistakable product design for the future. The new award-winning design visually epitomises the engineering and ergonomic quality of the company’s products.

New powerful drives, electronic control systems and innovative battery concepts, such as the lithium-ion technology used in the ECE 220i/225i models, guarantee extraordinary productivity and the highest possible energy efficiency in this vehicle class. The use of highly recyclable materials adds to the sustainability of the modular product line.

At the beginning of 2016 Jungheinrich introduced a new Jungheinrich grey to complement the well-known Jungheinrich yellow. Beginning in 2016 all new models will have a sleeker design, with the operating functions and model markings emphasised in a distinctive accent green. Passive and active lighting elements can be functionally integrated with the new appearance of the vehicles, leading to enhanced workplace safety and an instantly recognisable overall design.
