IPS is the first co-packing business to achieve AA* recognition under the new BRC food system. It is believed that at present no other company in its sector has achieved this grading.

“This really is a fantastic achievement for IPS. I’m very proud of our team at IPS Featherstone too, this was their first unannounced audit”, Said Andrew Dawson, IPS Managing Director, “Our AA+ rating reinforces our commitment to continual improvement in food safety, product and process control, site standards and personnel. It sets a benchmark for our sector”

BRC Global Standards complimented IPS specifically on the quality of the systems and protocols at Featherstone. IPS is looking now to raise the bar by improving standards still further across its network of sites to maintain its leadership position and fulfill its Company Vision.

BRC Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification programme, used by over 23,000 certificated suppliers in 123 countries.

The Standards guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC Global Standards are now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers.

In July 2015 version 7 of the BRC Global Food Safety standard came into force, by far the most stringent standard yet.

IPS is the largest independent copacker in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing and comanufacturing solutions.

By working with manufacturing partners to integrate co-packing into their network IPS are able to focus on a streamlined supply chain. This uniquely flexible approach reduces both the cost of putting products on shelves and the impact on the environment.

With over 30 years’ experience, a national network of co-packing facilities, committed staff and a flexible approach to business, IPS continues to lead the market.
