Adrian Waine says: “Manufacturing offers lots of opportunities for exciting, interesting, dynamic and even beautiful images – the challenge as a photographer is to capture all that in a single shot.”

Though his Nomex image adopts the qualities of studio photography, it was actually created amongst a stack of sheeting inside the warehouse. Location lighting and a few blocks of wood helped to create this “sun spot” image from honeycomb board.   The objective is to transform everyday subjects into striking photographs which will provoke attention and at the heart of getting attention is presenting something visually appealing – ideal for marketing applications.

Engineering workshops and factories make up Adrian’s regular stamping ground for commercial and industrial assignments in addition to process plants and dockside handling. However, these images all have a job to do. Whether they feature racking, cranes or pallet wrapping systems, they are an essential tool for developing new business and can be seen as an investment by any company who aim to do business in developing markets or to promote new equipment into existing ones.
