SEMA-main-logo-PB[11]Every year, there are over 5,000 accidents involving transport in the workplace. About 50 of these result in people being killed (www.hse.gov.uk/statistics). The main causes of injury are people falling off vehicles, or being struck or crushed by them.

Over 10,000 employees suffered a major injury as a result of a slip or trip at work in 2008/09. The majority of trips are caused by obstructions in walkways or uneven surfaces. Preventing these accidents is often simple and cost-effective.
