Warehouse safety needs to start even before products are sent to site. Firstly the design of a new warehouse layout should be created by an expert, one who can conduct a full CDM (Construction, Design & Management) review of the design to the new 2015 regulations before it is even submitted to the customer.

This is something that Dexion takes very seriously and all drawings are reviewed prior to being sent out, ensuring that they also adhere to the SEMA and FEM codes of practice for the design of adjustable pallet racking or low/high rise static steel shelving.

Next, the products need to be manufactured in accordance with the European Norm EN15512:2009 – Principles for structural design of steel static storage systems and adjustable pallet racking systems and agree with the standards laid down by FEM (European Federation of Materials Handling) in Europe and advocated by SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) here in the UK.

Dexion’s European in-house quality control endlessly tests components from across their entire product range, ensuring that safety remains uncompromised and that products are manufactured to also meet EN15512. This work is conducted in its dedicated, European, in-house, quality control centre. Various components are regularly subjected to stringent quality control tests using state of the art testing equipment by Dexion’s highly trained technicians.

This testing centre is an integral part of the company’s high product standards and workmanship and is utilised as they continually innovate new products and improve existing ones. Dexion’s rigorous quality control procedures are highly respected ensuring that they remain the brand of choice.
