Wednesday July 1st saw Yorkshire headquartered Potter Logistics at two prestigious award events in London – they were named Motor Transport Awards Haulier of the Year 2015 and at the UKWA Awards colleagues were awarded Warehouse Manager of the Year, Young Employee of the Year and there was special recognition from the Chairman’s Award for founder and executive chairman Derrick Potter.

Potter Logistics, who are in their 50th year of operation, attended the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) luncheon and awards at the Dorchester Hotel, London, with the Potter team taking home Warehouse Manager of the Year for Scott Wallace Operation Manager, Young Employee of the Year for Joe Jackson part of our transport team and special recognition from the Chairman’s Award for founder and executive chairman Derrick Potter. The winning streak continued for Potter Logistics at the Motor Transport Awards that evening when they scooped Haulier of the Year award 2015.

The Motor Transport judges said of Potter Logistics ‘the company had put in a strong financial performance and had good control over all aspects of its business. It was a family business with a customer driven ethos, offered comprehensive training and took a flexible, innovative approach’.

When speaking about their achievements, Matthew Lamb, Potter’s Managing Director said ‘Today has been a fantastic day for Potter Logistics, not only have we won the two awards at the UKWA awards but also winning Motor Transport Awards Haulier of the Year.
