IDSY-half-page-Ad-#2-with-bleedLondon Gateway Logistics Centre is a purpose-built multi-user facility on London Gateway Logistics Park, which is fully integrated with the new deep-sea container port. The specialist cargo handling centre enables all shippers – from large retailers to SMEs – to take advantage of the port-centric, market-centric opportunity and the supply chain savings that come from sharing warehousing and transportation, labour and materials handling equipment.

Larger businesses looking for supplementary capacity or an ‘incubator opportunity’ can utilise the Logistics Centre to build up volumes from an initial small start, or can add a strategic devanning and collection point to their distribution networks, bringing a new agility and flexibility to their supply chains.

MDA

As a leading POS fulfilment partner to Europe’s biggest brands and retailers, mad stores and distributes complex order profiles, along with high volume campaign and contract packing runs, for distribution typically across the UK and EMEA region, for marketing materials and point of sale items.

Following the acquisition of major competitor TFS in 2013, MDA added major brands such as BP, Morrisons, and Wrigley to its client portfolio.

In 2014 MDA took the decision to invest in a major brand new Fulfilment Centre based in the Midlands, initially to service its existing group of clients. This major project required the consolidation of three fulfilment centres and over 25,000 storage locations to be completed – and all over a single weekend.

A further key competitor was acquired in 2014 – POS Direct, a highly regard POS Fulfilment specialist with another fantastic stable of major brands, including Nestle, Microsoft, Unilever, and the British Heart Foundation.

With both TFS and POS Direct now fully integrated and rebranded as part of MDA, MDA has passed a key milestone in its plan to deliver a scalable and high quality Marketing Services partner, dedicated to the warehousing and logistics best practice and performance for POS items and marketing materials for Europe’s biggest brands and retailers.

MDA now operates from four UK fulfilment centres, with a £40m turnover, 400 members of staff and 3 million orders despatched.

2014 saw MDA win its biggest ever client – major global brewer Heineken. Heineken elected to move its entire POS Warehousing and Logistics contract solely to MDA, recognising the best practice, efficiencies, and innovations MDA’s business delivers, and plan to deliver over the coming months and years to help improve its business and performance.
