Our products are designed to reduce labour, transport and consumable costs; increase vehicle fill; reduce packaging waste; and increase load stability and efficiency throughout supply chains.

It was Loadhog’s culture and vision which attracted me to the industry.

WLN – What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Interacting with, and gaining an understanding of, supply chains across some of the world’s most highly regarded organisations.

WLN – Who inspired you most in your career?

My father – he built a career from being a shift manager in British Steel to travelling the world and meeting the likes of Tony Blair and Al Gore, while he was vice president and CEO of Interface Ltd.

WLN – If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

I would be a Pally & Lid because it’s the most efficient way to move items from A to B and also eliminating the need for stretch wrap.

WLN – If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

I would have applied for a job at Loadhog much earlier in my career.

WLN – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you at work?

Having to dress up as Sandy from Grease and sing ‘You’re The One That I Want’ as part of a team building exercise this year.

WLN – Who or what makes you laugh?

Alan Partridge – AHA!

WLN – Do you have any hidden talents?

Hearing a song and being able to name the film that it’s from.

WLN – Who would be your favourite party guest?

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer – got to have both as guests because they work brilliantly together.

WLN – What is the greatest luxury in your life?

My 55” LED 3D TV.

WLN – What is your favourite guilty pleasure?

Thrashing my boss in a squash game.

WLN – Do you have any secret ambitions?

To see Sheffield Wednesday lift the Premier League trophy.

WLN – What’s your dream holiday destination?

Island-hopping the Fiji islands… again.

WLN – What are your three favourite movies of all time?

Dumb and Dumber, Wedding Crashers, Drive.

WLN – What is your favourite book of all time?

Flat Stanley – my favourite childhood book which has stuck with me into adulthood.

WLN – What’s your favourite pastime?

Playing football and skiing.

WLN – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

Travel and party until there’s nothing left.

WLN – What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry?

Get to know all areas of the supply chain, from administrative roles to warehouse operations, as all sections of the business are so entwined that one area cannot function without the others.
