Leicester College, one of the UK’s biggest further education and training institutions, is to provide the logistics leader with in-house training and apprenticeship support.

Cris Stephenson, Managing Director of Pall-Ex UK, said: “Personal development is key to maintaining a strong, motivated staff and a healthy business. Utilising the extensive resources of Leicester College will further educate our personnel and keep us abreast of fast-moving technological advances and innovative new practice. It’s a very positive progression.

“Partnering with Leicester College will make a significant contribution to delivery of the Pall-Ex staff retention and development strategy. I am confident the initiative will be very much to the benefit of both organisations and, more importantly, will reward our staff on a personal level.”

Pall-Ex’s human resources experts are currently meeting with a team of college training assessors, to identify staff development needs. A co-ordinated approach will ensure minimum operational impact as staff undertake management, warehouse, storage, IT and customer service courses.

Tracey Kinsley, Assistant Principal for Employer Engagement at Leicester College said: “Adding another reputable company to the growing portfolio of organisations served by the College is testament to the value that our training teams offer to business.”
