New machinery range will offer bagging, paper, shrink, sealing and vacuum automated packaging systems.

enviropad-1l[2]Following this year’s PPMA Show 2014, held at the NEC Birmingham on 30th September, which saw Kite Packaging collaborate with Audion Swissvac, the UK supplier has now expanded its packaging machinery range to offer more choice and solutions for its customers.

This includes the company’s e-commerce offering which has now launched vacuum chamber machines, shrink and seal hood machines and an integrated desktop heat shrink system. For Major Accounts customers that are provided for by Kite’s national branches, there are even more options including medically validated vacuum sealers, automatic bagging machines and continuous heat sealers.

The new range has been launched following an upward trend in customers looking for automated solutions to their packaging operations, with Kite hoping to open up their market further into the industrial food market, and offer customers with high volumes a more efficient and consolidated packing method.

The launch also comes with the latest reveal of Kite’s new paper system, the Enviropad, which produces a highly competitive 3.8 metres of padded paper per second and uses extra-long rolls to increase speed in the void-filling area of retail and fulfilment operations. Visitors to this year’s Autumn Fair were treated to a sneak peek of the new system, with an official launch taking place at the PPMA Show.

The Kite website, which offers stock product and packaging equipment to online customers, will now play host to a range of machines available to buy in just a few clicks. This includes a range of vacuum chamber machines. Four models are available all with differing benefits, with the range designed using the latest technology to remove excess air from pouches and protect from deterioration and damage.

Kite has also launched a range of heat shrink and seal machines due to the increasing demand for more professional looking products from retailers. These machines shrink wrap a product and seal the film to create a highly attractive pack, using a shrink hood system and an integrated seal mechanism. The machines have been designed for customers wanting to move away from heat shrink guns as they can significantly improve speed in the operation, with Kite’s offering including a system that can shrink and seal up to 1,200 packs per hour.

As well as this a new range of vacuum pouches have been made available through the e-commerce store and a new integrated desktop system. Information is also available about larger systems available to Major Accounts – to find out more please visit www.kitepackaging.co.uk
