As well as being extremely informative it will also be a day to be inspired as the hosts have engaged the services of one of the most motivational speakers you are ever likely to encounter: Chris Moon MBE – “The speaker who walks the talk”, Chris challenges the concept of limitation. His training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and experiences as an Army officer provided a world-class grounding in leadership, motivation and personal and team development.

MoonoriginalsaharaChris became a Team Leader for the Halo Trust; clearing landmines in Asia and Africa. When kidnapped by Khmer Rouge guerrillas, he became one of the few Westerners to survive such an ordeal.  Chris lost his lower arm and a leg clearing land mines in Mozambique, but less than a year after leaving hospital he completed the London Marathon. He was the first amputee to run the Marathon des Sables and the Badwater death Valley Ultra Marathon and is involved in numerous charity projects assisting the disabled and disadvantaged.

As well as exceptional practical experience with inspiring and uplifting learning examples, Chris also brings an academic and sociological understanding of risk from his MSc in Security Management and talks extensively on Risk and Health and Safety.

In presentations, industry professionals(from the 3PL and automotive sectors for example) will pass on their first-hand experience and illustrate the proven benefits achieved through implementing fleet management solutions.

In the afternoon a number of interactive sessions led by personnel from I.D. Systems (UK) and Mentor Training will cover risk reduction; safety; pre-use checks; impact reporting; productivity; benchmarking and training.

“With the multitude of information available nowadays research can be very time consuming and does not necessarily result in the right answers, “ said Alex Glasmacher, I.D. Systems’ Managing Director EMEA. “This one day seminar at the Belfry will empower you to make the best choices to ensure tangible long term benefits for your operation.”
