Grocontinental, one of the UK’s leading international shipping and distribution companies, have recently replaced their existing light fittings with a number of high performing LED luminaires from Dexeco.
Warehouse lighting within Grocontinental’s 30-acre, purpose-built site in Whitchurch now boasts an extensive upgrade with the popular LED Highbay.
The long-standing clients of Dexeco have been supplied with luminaires for more than 5 years and have now reaped all the many benefits of LED technology.
Grocontinental had traditionally used 400w HID lamps, which have now been replaced with numerous LED Highbay luminaires.
The LED Highbay offers an appealing combination of superb energy efficiency and lumen outputs which can offer an effective replacement of 400W metal halide luminaires.
The luminaire is suitable for a number of different applications, including warehouses, cold storage, racking aisles and marshalling areas.
Constructed out of steel, the robust white powder coated body can withstand challenging environments, making the luminaires ideal factory lighting fixtures.
An impressive lumen output of up to 13,300 lumens per card is offered through the LED Highbay’s bespoke L3 LED board.
The luminaire is also available with three different lens options offering a range of light distributions for high level, low level, open area and racking applications. This allows the luminaire to deliver balanced light distribution within a number of different settings.
Lumen maintenance and LED lifetime is maximised through the bespoke AluSink, whilst significant energy reductions havebeen noted due to the luminaires each having individual sensors.
The state-of-the-art integral R14 sensor operates at up to 18m and provide both daylight regulation and presence detection.
Intelligently controlling lighting during periods of absence through presence detection makes luminaires like the LED Highbay an energy saving LED lighting solution.
From long life and low maintenance cost, to fully dimmable features and sensor control, it is easy to see why Grocontinental wanted to introduce the popular LED lighting choice into the project.
