Energy consumption reduced by one third

Digiland LED helps to reduce the electricity consumption for a sheetmetal company from £9,000 to £3,000 per annum.

Task

Wrekin Sheetmetal is a premier sheetmetal fabricator who can meet all punch, fold, weld and finish requirements. They work primarily with mild steel, stainless steel, galvanised and zinc coated steel and aluminium. They had 72 x 400 W Metal Halide lamps fitted in their factory and were paying over £9,000 a year for their lighting alone.

Solution

Digiland LED has since replaced these Metal Halide Lamps with 175 W LED High Bays, designed by POSCO, South Koreas largest sheetmetal company. Digiland LED is the sole distributor for POSCO LED products in the UK and the lighting products they supply have won several prestigious design awards. By converting to LED technology, the lighting bill for Wrekin Sheetmetal is now just over £3,000, a third of the original cost.
