As part of its commitment to offering a total one-stop-shop for advanced store automation and retail printing solutions, Toshiba TEC has announced the launch of a new series of plain, self-adhesive labels for accurate, high quality thermal transfer and direct thermal printing across a wide range of applications.
Available in a variety of grades, sizes and coatings for either general purpose or specialist printing requirements, all three types of label in the new series can be used in conjunction with Toshiba TEC portable, desktop, mid-range and industrial printers. This includes the recently launched B-EX4T1 and T2 models, as well as most other thermal transfer printers.
Toshiba TEC’s ‘Direct Thermal Economy’ labels are produced from a non-top coated chemi-therm paper with high print resolution properties. Offering excellent value for money, these labels are ideally suited to general price tag, barcode, pallet, shipping and box end labelling applications.
The ‘Direct Thermal Premium’ labels feature top and reverse side barrier coated chemi-therm paper for optimum levels of resistance and protection, particularly in harsh retail, food, logistics and transport environments.
Lastly, Toshiba TEC’s ‘Thermal Transfer Premium’ labels complete the range and are manufactured from high quality 80g machine coated, wood free mid-gloss paper for thermal transfer printing that requires high contrast and finer print details. Excellent durability and opacity ensures sharper looking printed labels, whether applying text, barcodes or logos.
All three label types provide first class adhesion to normal substrates, including non-polar services, films and corrugated board, and have good low temperature performance.
In addition to the new label series, Toshiba TEC combines robust, quality printers with superior grade thermal transfer ribbons, in-house servicing and maintenance for a total ‘one-stop-shop’ solution.
