Leading global cat litter supplier, the Tolsa Group, has appointed Europe’s second largest pallet pool operator, LPR, to manage its European pallet business, including approximately 70,000 UK annual pallet movements.
The Tolsa Group has more than 50 years’ experience producing products for domestic and commercial consumption. Founded in Spain, the company now operates in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Tolsa has invested in a pallet pool provider that is able to deliver a cost-effective, efficient offering so that its reputation for delivering quality customer service is enhanced. By using LPR, Tolsa’s supply chain team also has the support of a flexible external supplier who is on hand to deal with any additional requirements.
Simon Pattison, country manager at Tolsa UK, said: “We have developed a really strong relationship with LPR; the communication and support we receive is exceptionally good. The team is always available to answer any queries or concerns we may have and, in addition, we have seen financial benefits from the use of LPR pallets. We would like to widen our use of the LPR service in the future and are currently exploring the possibility of replacing our one way pallets.”

LPR collects pallets in 12 countries across Europe through more than 100 local depots. The business, which is a division of Euro Pool System, handles more than 53 million pallet movements a year, with turnover in excess of 133 million Euros.
