Logistex, warehouse automation specialists have secured an integrated systems contract for Superdrug, part of the AS Watson Group. The solution, designed to facilitate growth within e-commerce includes conveyor order forwarding technology with packaging and sortation equipment. In addition to this Logistex will fully deploy its in house Warehouse Management System LWS Reflex and business intelligence suite, Analytex.

Logistex have worked closely with Superdrug to design an e-commerce solution that is based entirely on its needs for growth and expansion. As an experienced independent integrator Logistex has the expertise and know-how to select the most suitable equipment and systems, ensuring they are compatible and cost-effective for years to come.

The solution that Logistex have designed and will integrate for Superdrug will automate picking, packaging and sortation of orders. The solution will be controlled by Logistex’s LWS Reflex Warehouse Management System. LWS Reflex will manage all aspects of the operation including SKU management, replenishment and picking. Released orders can be batch picked into a tote and out sorted at despatch benches, or are picked direct into despatch cartons.

To give additional assurance, Reflex will confirm that the order profile and carton weight reconciles prior to closing and sorting to the appropriate destination. Analytex will provide configurable real time business intelligence which ensuring efficient utilisation of resources Logistex were awarded the contract following a comprehensive design and planning process, where Logistex’s experts worked closely with Superdrug to ensure the solution provides flexibility and growth for the future.
