Zedlock has launched a new range of gate locks aimed specifically at the industrial sector. Originally designed for large agricultural gates, the design has been refined to offer a high quality, reliable locking solution. The unique feature of the original Zedlock sliding bolt and deadlock combination was the 70mm movement of the sliding bolt, which has been carried over to the new version.
Every Zedlock features a Union 5-lever deadlock, which has proven reliable in all weathers, particularly freezing conditions. The lock can also be re-levered in-house for fast turnaround of keyed-alike batches. Other options include a buffer to prevent the key being removed whilst the deadlock is unlocked and a T-handle on the underside of the lock case in place of the mushroom knob – ideal where there is limited room around the lock and for sheeted gates.
Due to their flexible design, a Zedlock can be supplied to fit any thickness of gate frame. The sliding bolt is machined from 20mm diameter solid stainless steel and standard sizes to suit frames from 10 to 80mm are held in stock; others can be made to order.
The lock cases are plated in a Zinc Iron finish (clear or black), with the option of a black powdercoat top coat. One-offs can be supplied in any RAL colour. For those who wish to finish the lock case in their own choice of colour, the locks can be supplied unlabelled.
Fitting the Zedlock to a metal frame is straightforward, with detailed dimensions available and a self-adhesive fitting template supplied. The Zedlock is fixed to the gate frame by M10 cap bolts, or welded. A double gate kit, which locks in the ‘down’ position when both gates are closed, can also be supplied.
