Friday 7th of February 2014 was a very proud day for all at Newland Engineering Co. Ltd as Managing Director Mrs Lynn Kerfoot received her MBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
Lynn was awarded her MBE for services to business in Tameside announced in the Queen’s birthday honours in June of last year.
Lynn was able to take three members of her family to witness the investiture at Buckingham Palace.
Lynn said it was an experience she and her family will never forget.
Prince Charles said ‘’I believe you make some marvellous things’’ and ended the conversation with ‘’Well done and keep UK manufacturing going!’’
Lynn is no stranger to Buckingham Palace as she & co owner of Newland Engineering Mr Mike Holland were invited there to a garden party in May of last year .
