As well as cutting-edge innovations in the field of 24-volt technology, Interroll will exhibit integrated drive solutions such as drum motors for belt conveyors, DC-powered and non-powered rollers for conveyor systems and the latest ConveyorControl for unit-handling conveyors designed around zero-pressure accumulation.
Interroll will also use FOODEX to showcase its new Synchronous Drum Motor developed specifically for the food processing sector and featuring one of the most powerful, energy-efficient generation of drum motors with an ultra-hygienic design in accordance with EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group). It features as standard IP66 and IP69K sealing systems, making it the ideal solution for wet and high-pressure wash down applications.
This belt drive offers excellent torque at all speeds, maximum acceleration/braking performance, optimum energy savings and excellent start-stop potential for various applications such as the packaging industry, logistics, the food processing sector or dynamic checkweighers
Also on display will be the 24 V DC Interroll RollerDrive EC310, which offers a complete safe solution to support the hygienic drive in custom built processing/ packaging machinery and versatile conveyors, using up to 30% less energy and recycles brake energy. Its simple control technology with perfectly coordinated functions enables the space-saving EC310 drive to significantly simplify zero line pressure accumulation conveyor technology and can be integrated seamlessly into new or existing logistics systems. RollerDrive EC310 can be used with modules DRIVECONTROL’s 20 & 54 or ZONECONTROL for controlling the speed, direction of rotation and logic.
Interroll supplies system integrators and OEMs with one of the world’s most durable, robust ranges of drive motors, with a sealed-for-life design that can withstand regular high-pressure washdown procedures and ensures trouble-free conveying of foodstuffs. No maintenance is required and therefore this results in lower operating costs and higher productivity.
The drum Motor has evolved to be a serious contender to replace geared motor drives. Clean hygienic profile features of drums have also the added benefit of enabling a quick drive changeover with zero maintenance requirements; plus trials in conjunction with customers and OEM’s to have demonstrated energy saving of between 32% (unloaded) and 47% (loaded) in comparison to conventional geared motor drives.
In pioneering drive solutions for modular plastic belt conveyors Interroll utilises a range of purpose designed, food quality FDA approved profiled rubber and PU lagging, and stainless steel or polymeric sprockets. To provide maximum flexibility of speed and control, all Interroll Drum Motors can be connected with most types of frequency converters.
