In Kind Direct redistributes surplus goods from manufacturers and retailers to UK charities working at home and abroad. The charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1996 and is one of The Prince’s Charities, which is the largest multi-cause charitable enterprise in the United Kingdom.

TSB Supply Chain takes care of all of In Kind Direct’s distribution and logistics operations. The 3PL business is based in the UK with a global network of over 250 locations worldwide. TSB Supply Chain specialise in eCommerce Fulfilment and Managed Returns Services, giving online retailers a competitive edge through Multi-Channel Delivery and Returns options.

Logistex’s LWS Reflex WMS, is an innovative warehouse management solution which has been developed to make the latest WMS technology more widely accessible and affordable to both eCommerce and traditional businesses, with in-built flexibility to match the client’s needs as they grow and develop in future years. The user simply accesses the built in functionality as and when it is needed, from simple manual operation to a fully-fledged automated warehouse.

There’s no longer any need to replace one WMS for another system as the business grows, with all the attendant cost and upheaval, as LWS Reflex has the capability and flexibility to last a lifetime. Unlike many other systems LWS Reflex is not licensed per user, but licensed by site with unlimited users, so there’s no financial penalty for growth.

After meeting Logistex at a Logistics networking event, TSB Supply Chain immediately saw the potential of LWS Reflex to improve their operation for In Kind Direct. At the time the operation was using an existing Cloud-Based WMS that did not have the functionality to support the business’s growth.

reflex_monitor_logoGraham Best, Director at TSB Supply Chain says, “There were numerous reasons for choosing Logistex’s LWS Reflex Warehouse Management Software, the depth of functionality the system offers is great value and it will grow with us”

“Logistex have an impressive client base, but from the start we didn’t feel like just another customer, we were a team, all working towards the same final goal.”

TSB Supply Chain and In Kind Direct are taking advantage of Logistex’s SAAS offering which enables the client to rent the product from Logistex minimising capital expenditure.

The system is due for completion in February and will go live with minimal disruption to the operation.
