Linde Material Handling (UK) has been recognised for its Innovation and Use of Technology at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Co-op-Property-Awards-2013---Gary-Lineker,-Neil-Morrison-and-Rachel-Riley[2]The Co-operative Property Awards were held at Event City in Manchester to celebrate the many achievements of The Co-operative’s partners across the UK.

The co-operative is one of the few customers in the UK with a top racking height of 12.2 metres.  Customers want to make efficient use of their warehouse space and they can do this with the new reach truck R14 to R20 which can reach up to 13m.

Linde has developed a strong client relationship with the retailer in recent years and has even worked with them to trial new forklift trucks prior to their launch. The N20/N24 is one such example. Designed with a number of ergonomic, safety and productivity features including front operator position, self-centring electric steering, inching control and adjustable parameters, this range was successfully tested at The Co-operative’s warehouse before going to market.

Innovative use of technology is a key element of the Linde product range and the company boasts a number of vehicles which are at the cutting edge of latest forklift technology. The Linde T20SP incorporates a unique suspension system which improves on operator comfort and protects the truck from impact.

The new 39X EVO counterbalance range is another product which was highlighted in the award entry. As well as including advanced electronic curve assist technology, the counterbalance range has a new common rail engine with variable displacement pump offering excellent fuel saving opportunities. The ergonomically advanced seating and armrest also highlight Linde’s commitment to operator safety and comfort.

At the property awards, Linde Material Handling was recognised for continuing to focus on designing trucks that are exceptional at meeting customers’ needs and offer unrivalled performance, safety, ergonomics and cost of ownership.

Linde Material Handling UK sales and marketing director, Andrew Daly said; “It’s a great achievement to win the Technology and Innovation award and we are delighted that the Co-Op have recognised our contribution to their business. We are constantly listening to our customers to understand their key challenges and strive for creative innovations to fulfil their needs.
