The service and system is very flexible and PPS has successfully washed a broad cross-section of returnable equipment, including bale arm crates, tote boxes, attached lid boxes, fish boxes, plastic pallets, pallet boxes and containers. PPS has a wide customer profile including the food, retail and automotive sectors.

Equipment washing is an important part of the use of returnable packaging removing all forms of soiling created in everyday use. At PPS the equipment is hygienically washed and returned shrink-wrapped and ready for use.

In early 2014, PPS is investing in new wash lines at both sites, which will double their wash capacity and extend the service to more interested parties. As more companies experience the benefit of returnable equipment, the need for equipment washing increases.

Joanne Moss from PPS Midlands reported, “We have decided to increase our capacity at both sites in order to continue to service our current customers increased demands and to offer our service to new clients.

All equipment is washed to food industry standards and we also offer label removal and box drying if required.”
