The energy efficient lighting specialist was recognised for its many low energy lighting projects for business and industry, which collectively delivered CO2 savings in excess of 4 million tonnes in 2012 alone. This is the equivalent of taking 700,000 cars off the road.

The award was presented to Lutterworth Ecolighting’s managing director Martin Needham by The Apprentice’s Nick Hewer, at a prestigious ceremony at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The judges commented: “There was a standout winner for the Low Energy Lighting Installer of the Year Award, as this company demonstrated a clear focus on reducing their customers CO2.”

Lutterworth Ecolighting managing director, Martin Needham said: “We’re delighted to win this award as recognition of our achievements over the past year. Our focus is on delivering the appropriate solution that meets our customers lighting and financial requirements rather than a particular light source.

“By manufacturing our own products and having our own specialist installation teams, we are in a unique position to deliver exceptional savings and service to our customers.”
