A logistics expert in Northampton has won the title of Women in Logistics UK ‘Woman of the Year’ and received the FTA’s Everywoman Innovation and Sustainability Award.

Woman-of-Year-DanielleDanielle Kozlowska, 33, who works for Tesco and is the founder and chairwoman of Northamptonshire Professional Ladies and former chairwoman of the Brackmills Estate Procurement and Effectiveness Group, has been described as a “role model for future generations.”

Danielle was nominated for the prestigious award for Woman of the Year by Professor Richard Wilding OBE of Cranfield University, in association with Women in Logistics.

“I feel humbled and extremely honoured to have won Woman of the Year,” said Danielle. “I’ve been working in a male dominated industry for over 10 years and these awards prove that I am one of an increasing number of women in the Logistics industry, challenging the status quo and making a real mark in the transport and logistics sector.

“For the past three years I have been working on integrating the legacy Black & Decker and Stanley Tools warehouses and unifying them as Stanley Black & Decker. This required planning skills, an understanding of potential risks and process reviews. I had to change the status quo and bring people on board by understanding their fears and allaying them.”

Danielle runs a Professional ladies networking group in Northamptonshire that brings together like-minded ladies to a forum where challenges can be shared and speakers are brought in for group learning. It has a very relaxed group feel with no hard selling. For details, contact Danielle via email Danielle.Kozlowska@uk.tesco.com
