Jason Inwood, MD for Woodway UK Ltd, has chosen to take part in the London to Paris Bike Ride in September. All money raised will go to the Children’s Hospice Helen & Douglas House, Woodway UK’s nominated charity.

Jason-InwoodJason explains, “As a company we chose to support Helen & Douglas House for personal reasons. Andy Thomson, Goods-In Supervisor at Woodway, lost his 3 year old daughter, Poppy, to a rare inherited disorder called leucodystropy in December 2011. The team at Helen House supported the family both practically and emotionally as they do other families with life limiting conditions. Last year we raised over £11,000 by doing a number of activities. This year I decided to challenge myself to cycle in the London to Paris bike ride to raise more money for this worthy cause.”

The route will take 4 days and is nearly 500km over mixed terrain. Jason continues, “I have been training hard as I don’t want to let down my sponsors but it will be hard going. It’s the first time I’ve cycled that far so I expect to be sore for a few days after! It is all in a good cause though and I am looking forward to the challenge.”
