The UK’s leading supplier of temporary buildings has invested more money in training its employees than ever before in order to capitalise on the booming market and meet an increase incustomers’ demands.

Spaciotempo has doubled the amount of training it gives to its staff this year, with virtually every member of the company having completed a course of some kind since January.

Not only is Spaciotempo one of only a few names in the industry to design and manufacture its own range of temporary buildings and canopies, it is also one of only a small number of companies to use its own in-house, qualified staff rather than subcontractors to erect its temporary buildings to ensure a high standard of service and a quality finished product.

To achieve this, the company puts each staff member through an extensive period of training to ensure that they can operate equipment such as cherry-pickers and fork lifts effectively, as well as qualify for CSCS cards to enable them to work safely on construction sites.

This year, all of Spaciotempo’s operations staff are also studying for NVQ qualifications, while the company has increased the amount of health and safety training and given its commercial staff additional sales training too.

Scott Jameson, Director of Sales for Spaciotempo, said doubling its training provision will not only keep the company ahead of its rivals, it will also enable it to meet customers’ increasing demand for reliable information as more and more companies invest in temporary buildings to support their growth strategies.

He said: “We are currently experiencing a rise in orders and noticing that, as customers become more experienced in specifying temporary buildings, they are requesting more information when we speak to them.

“This is partly because, increasingly, our customers are big-name companies whose facilities and operations staff are experienced enough to know about health and safety andbuilding regulations and need to know that their suppliers are aware of their responsibilities too.

“We welcome that, because it reflects the increased awareness of our products and our service and by ensuring our staff are the most knowledgeable and reliable in the industry, we will give our customers peace of mind when we are handling their project.”
