Gem is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Hirst to the position of Category Manager as it further strengthens its office product category team.  

Andy-Hirst-1Gem is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Hirst who will be taking on the role of Category Manager as part of the office products business. Andy will report directly into Gem’s Head of Category for Office Products Colin Learmouth.

Andy comes with a wealth of office products experience having spent over 18 years at Office Depot, during which time he was involved in managing most product categories as well as being heavily involved in the launch of Viking into the UK market. More recently he has been running his own retail and online business but the exciting prospects at Gem have drawn him back into the industry.

With over 25 years of wide ranging experience, Andy has an in-depth insight into distribution and multi – channel category management, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge on purchasing, marketing, merchandising and category management principles that will benefit Gem for its long term growth plans within the sector.
