Signode has launched the SBM Series, a new generation of European-built strapping machines that offers customers higher productivity, simple operation combined with well proven technology and low cost of ownership.

SBM-2330-Model

With a wide range of machine options, the SBM Series can be tailored to suit almost any packing application, from stand-alone, operator controlled machines to fully automated production line installations.

The range comprises two main models. The SBM 2000 model is designed for use with 5 mm Dylastic® Polypropylene strap and offers a fast, reliable and economical solution for lighter general purpose packaging applications. The SBM 4000 range uses 9/12 mm Dylastic® strap and is ideal for medium to heavy duty tasks. All SBM machines deliver the same consistent strap tension and sealing – guaranteeing pack security.

With up to 70 strapping cycles per minute, these machines offer very high throughput yet are based on proven technology with few moving parts, to increase reliability and ensure low maintenance requirements.

Their simple to use design is a major advantage to packaging operations as all the machine functions can be adjusted from the control panel with only minimal operator training required.

Gerard Young, Head of Marketing at Signode commented: “In addition to offering a huge list of customer benefits, the SBM series is manufactured in our own European dedicated machine factory using high quality European components with over 80% of these manufactured in-house. Customers can be certain they are getting the highest levels of quality and reliability and low ownership costs.”

Signode offers the SBM with a 12 month or one million cycle warranty, whichever comes first, excluding wear parts. Low-cost, annual fixed service contracts are also available, which gives customers a known machine cost-of ownership and total peace of mind.

Signode is part of ITW Packaging Systems Europe.
