Toyota Material Handling UK will for the first time be exhibiting at Health and Safety Scotland in April 2013, (Stand 90) providing a great opportunity for companies in Scotland to gain valuable advice on safe manual handling as well as obtain free resources, to help improve safety in the workplace.
The Health and Safety Scotland event at the SECC, Glasgow (Stand 90) from 17th – 18th April 2013 will be an important event in Toyota’s calendar with a key focus on improving safety in the workplace, for companies who use any form of materials handling equipment.
Toyota has always set the standard in relation to safety in the workplace, not only by providing innovative products, but also through its added value services like operator training and by sharing best practice through ‘Taking Care with Toyota’, a dedicated safety campaign launched in 2012 to support companies to reduce injury and accidents within their business. This campaign was recognised at IMHX 2013 earlier this year when it was awarded winner in the ‘Safety Practices’ category of the IMHX Design 4 Safety Awards earlier this year.
Harry White, Regional Sales Manager for Scotland, Toyota Material Handling UK said “Promoting health and safety in the workplace is important to Toyota and this event provides the ideal platform for us to demonstrate how our products can help to reduce the risk of manual handling and improve safety at work”.
The stands will feature a range of manual and powered pallet trucks designed to help reduce manual handling. These include a BT Pro Lifter hand pallet truck that requires up to 67% less start up effort than a conventional hand pallet truck, a BT High Lifter hand pallet truck which features an ergonomic work station and the compact BT Levio powered pallet truck, all designed to move loads safely and efficiently.
White adds “We have also developed a number of free safety resources that provide tips for forklift safety, manual handling and the correct operation of equipment. The Toyota team on stand at this event will be on hand to provide advice on safe manual handling as well as to help companies drive down costs in their operation”.
