Continued investment in the service division is a key element of Hörmann’s strategy to ensure customers gain the maximum benefit from its products, extending operational life and delivering even lower operating costs.

As more and more integrated systems are installed to improve safety, operational efficiency and reduce energy costs, the benefits of high quality service support are helping to make operations leaner and more cost effective throughout the country.

This service back-up is also a part of Hörmann’s new product development effort. For example the Light Grille was produced to meet the need for improved safety devices as more and more fast action doors were being fitted to partition buildings and minimise heat loss. The quality of this safety device was recognised at the show as it was awarded the Goods-in, Goods-out Design 4 Safety award.

The introduction of extended warranties linked to service contracts is also growing the demand for direct manufacturer support while reducing operating costs further as product lifetimes are extended. Another benefit of these increased life-cycles is to improve the sustainable aspects of any installation.
