Third party logistics provider Advanced Supply Chain has invested a six figure sum in an integrated Paragon software solution to optimise route planning efficiencies and customer service.
Paragon Software Systems has delivered an integrated system for Advanced, which includes Paragon Integrated Fleets and Fleet Controller, with Multi User access functionality, Bridge Height information and INRIX-based road speed data. This will enable Advanced to plan accurate, cost-effective and achievable routes that maximise fleet movements and availability.
Jim Perry, Head of Transport at Advanced Supply Chain, comments: “The software will align with existing track and trace, compliance and fuel management systems to create one central transport management solution. This will enhance strategic planning, while still offering flexibility for execution of our transport plan on a local level.”

The new software will support Advanced in managing a fleet of over 200 trailers, operating out of distribution centres in Bradford, Birstall, Corby and Halifax. The company’s services cover bespoke transport, retail distribution and pallet delivery solutions. Its customers include car parts supplier Andrew Page, catalogue and online home and clothing retailers JD Williams and Littlewoods, wholesaler Makro, outdoor gear companies Quicksilver and Go Outdoors, licensed children’s clothing supplier Smith & Brooks, online and retail chain home and clothing retailer Matalan, and shoe company Hush Puppies among many others.
