The company, which in April 2012 won a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation, will be showcasing working examples of its 20-tonne double deck lift, 6.5-tonne V2G (vehicle to ground) and its mezzanine floor lifts. Each machine will be in operation throughout the show to allow visitors to get ‘hands-on’ experience of each unit’s unique all British technology and design, along with ease of operation, advanced safety features and environmental benefits.

Developed for rapid integration at sites where projects are time critical, Transdek’s unique surface mounted double deck lifts can be installed and removed within just one day. For moving larger volumes, the 20T lift can handle up to 30 roll cages with a capacity of 650kg or up to 18 pallets with a one-tonne payload. Amongst its project portfolio, Transdek has converted over 150 stores to accept deliveries from double deck trailers for many Blue-Chip companies including Tesco, TJ Morris and Boots.

Transdek’s 6.5T V2G loading solution is the only practical surface mounted lift that enables the loading and unloading of all types of goods vehicles, including the tallest double deck trailers, to ground level. For flat-floor retail sites or distribution hubs the V2G solution represents a major development in design of loading systems.

A working model of Transdek’s mezzanine floor lifts will be a new product addition to Transdek’s stand for 2013. Based on the same design principles, the mezzanine lifts allow rapid fitment to convert new builds or retro-fitted to existing buildings for cost effective, safe and efficient mezzanine floor access.

“For all types of businesses making the most effective use of available space, whether at distribution centres, retail outlets or self storage businesses, is vital in todays economic climate,” says Leon Butler, Transdek’s General Manager. “The ability to easily, safely and cost effectively load or transport goods can deliver a significant return on investment.”

At IMHX 2010, Transdek won the Design 4 Safety Award in the Automation Category for its range of self contained double deck lift pods, which at this year’s show will be on display with enhanced options, such as the new load weight monitor (LWM). The patented monitor ensures that double deck trailer payloads are properly balanced for maximum stability and efficiency.

A team of Transdek experts will be on stand 20D21, including Managing Director Mark Adams and Leon Butler, to offer expertise and advice about lifting and loading bay issues. In addition they can provide full details of the company’s award winning solutions and the latest product developments, such as the LWM.
