Exhibiting at four locations within the show, Linde’s main stand (20B100, Hall 20) will see demonstrations of Linde’s range of new, highly specialised products and services that will ensure every operation, large or small, runs as efficiently and productively as possible.

One of the products on display will be the Linde EVO range – a new generation of two to five tonne counterbalance engine trucks. The trucks deliver a variety of new and innovative features including excellent fuel efficiency; thanks to an all new common rail diesel engine with variable displacement pump; as well as top levels of operator safety and comfort.

Linde’s second stand (17S20, Hall 17), located in the apprentice zone, will showcase the success of the apprentice scheme where its newest apprentices will service a truck live on the stand throughout the four days, as well as be on hand to talk about their ambitions in becoming
the future generation of engineers within the materials handling industry.

Linde’s apprenticeship scheme offers young people the opportunity to work towards technical certification as a fork truck engineer. So far, the company has trained 31 young people across the UK and is currently opening applications for its third consecutive intake.

As supporters of Bloodhound SSC, a project aiming to set a new World Land Speed record of 1000 mph, Linde is hosting the 13.5metre long car on its stand in Hall 17 (17S30).

Bloodhound will feature as the backdrop as the official opening of IMHX where Richard Noble OBE, the world land speed record breaker, will cut the ribbon to mark the start of the four-day exhibition.

Richard Noble is the project leader for the Bloodhound project where driver Andy Green will attempt to break into speeds of 1,000 mph to smash the existing world record of 763 mph.

Bloodhound is an education project that has been inspiring young people by encouraging them to take up careers in science, technology, engineering and maths.

Linde is the official materials handling partner for Bloodhound, in charge of moving the display model from each event with trucks from its short term rental fleet.

Linde (UK) Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Daly comments:

‘We are pleased to be exhibiting at IMHX and fully support what is a well-respected industry event. We will be using this event to clearly demonstrate what we can do to help our customers.’
