PD Bannister, an established storage and distribution company has picked the Access Delta warehouse performance system to run its 250,000 square foot, 25,000 pallet-capacity, third party logistics (3PL) warehousing operation. The Delta deployment includes RF (radio frequency) handheld and truck-mounted bar code scanning.
Founded in 1973, PD Bannister is based in Bradford, from where it runs a large modern fleet of vehicles. The company works with a number of blue chip companies and other major retail players. In addition to storage and distribution its services include consolidation storage and stock repackaging for in-store presentation.
“We spoke to other users who said Delta was a decent system” managing director David Bannister explains. “It will give us greater stock traceability as well as generating customer reports and other information for our clients. Delta seems to have a big client base in our market”.
