CPG Logistics, based in Gosport, Hampshire, manage complex supply chains across many industry sectors including pharmaceutical, defence, hi-tech and cosmetics. When CPG occupied this warehouse, the racking aisles and nine Mezzanine floors had over 1000 existing, inefficient, light fittings which needed to be replaced.
Ecotronic secured the contract and retrofitted the EcoPAK® T5 – Ecotronic’s new range of fluorescent batten fittings incorporating the very latest T5 ballast technology from Tridonic ATCO.
The combination of EcoBAY and EcoPAK® products with our highly efficient Miro 4 reflectors ensures excellent vertical illumination and general illumination characteristics that exceed enhanced capital allowance criteria.

RESULTS:
It has been proven that the new system installed for CPG Logistics resulted in an energy saving of 80% for lighting and an overall reduction of 40%.
The EcoBAY® T5 fluorescent Hi-BAY fittings were trialled against LED lighting but were ultimately chosen for light quality and more importantly enhanced light distribution.
CPG Logistics qualified for ECA and the Carbon Trust Funded loan scheme was also used to fund project.
SAVINGS:
The total electricity saved was 454,511 KWh per year, resulting in a reduction in CO2 emissions of 254 tonnes per year, which equates to an annual electricity saving of £45,451.00
