APC Overnight, the UK’s largest next day delivery network, is celebrating success after winning a place on the prestigious Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100.

The distribution firm, which has 120 local depots covering all areas of the country, has been ranked 66th in the league table that highlights Britain’s top-performing private companies with the fastest-growing profits.

Delivering around 1.5m parcels nationwide each month, APC Overnight has seen profits grow by an impressive 55 per cent a year since 2008.  With its unique network structure, the business says the secret to its success is due to its co-operative approach whereby each depot is run independently by individual courier companies connected into a strong managed system, which ultimately encourages entrepreneurial spirit.

The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 accolade is another great achievement by the courier company, which was recently crowned ‘Business of the Year 2012’ at the Express and Star’s Business Awards.

Syed Ziaullah, Chief Executive of APC Overnight, said:

“I believe this is a significant milestone in the history of the company and one we should all be extremely proud of.  Being recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the top 100 companies in the UK for profit growth is an immense accolade and endorses the hard work of everyone at APC.

“I feel extremely privileged to be representing a company that has been recognised in this way, especially after our recent award for ‘Business of the Year’.”

Head of Sales and Marketing for APC, Steve Salt, added:

“To be listed among the top 100 companies in Britain is a huge achievement.  We take pride and care in the levels of service we provide and this placement shows we are a company people want to do business with.”

Profit Track 100 is produced by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking-events company.  Since 1997, Fast Track has been researching and ranking Britain’s top-performing private firms and providing a network for entrepreneurs to meet.
