Transdek UK will be showcasing working models of its innovative 6.5-tonne V2G (Vehicle To Ground) Double Deck lift with integral Load Weight Monitor (LWM) and 20-tonne Double Deck Lift on stand 3F60 at the CV Show, NEC Birmingham, on 24-26 April 2012.

Following 18 months of particularly strong demand for it’s flexible solutions, the lifting equipment specialist has significantly expanded production at its modern Doncaster facility. It will be demonstrating its latest, award winning models of both lifts that will highlight their ease of operation, innovative design and integrated safety features.

Mark Adams, Managing Director at Transdek UK, says: “As well as providing cost effective loading bay and lifting equipment solutions, we will be demonstrating how vehicle operators can more safely load double deck trailers with our Load Weight Monitor technology.

“With recent growth in double deck transport operations, all Transdek’s solutions are aimed at providing optimal loading bay efficiencies to streamline the supply chain for future developments. Our modular equipment is designed to be easy to install and can be quickly relocated if requirements change.”

The LWM has been integrated with Transdek’s unique V2G solution, which is the only surface mounted lift that enables the loading and unloading of all vehicle types to ground level.  Adams explains: “Our V2G system enables up to 500m2 of dead space to be recovered in the delivery yard at new-build retail sites. Our lifts and design work is all about driving cost out of the supply chain and maximising safe vehicle operation.”

The LWM provides a safe, highly accurate system for filling double deck trailers as it measures the weight and distribution of product on both decks during the loading cycle. This ensures that the payload is balanced for maximum stability. Weight parameters are set according to the type of vehicle being loaded, and the LWM is interlocked with the lift controls to physically prevent overloading of either the upper or lower vehicle deck.

For moving larger volumes, Transdek’s 20-tonne double deck lift can handle up to 30 roll cages with a capacity of 650kg or up to 18 pallets with a one-tonne payload. In line with all equipment it is pre-tested prior to delivery and the surface mounted pod unit can be installed without the need for costly civil engineering works.

Both Mark Adams and Leon Butler, Operations Director, will be on stand 3F60 to provide more details of Transdek’s solutions.
