Heavey RF, which supplies mobile technology solutions to the logistics, manufacturing, field service, retail and transport sectors, has announced it is expanding its UK operations, on the back of a number of business wins from existing and new customers. The company has doubled its revenues in the UK from £1 million to £2 million since it opened its London office in January 2010.

“We have wanted to strengthen our presence in the UK for some time, as the market potential for our solutions here has proven significant,” said Ronan Clinton, CEO, Heavey RF Group.

As part of the expansion Heavey RF has opened new offices in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and appointed Steven Watson as UK country manager. Steven is an industry veteran who has over 15 years experience in the UK supply chain market. He has worked with Psion, supply chain industry standards organisation and for Motorola and Compaq developing their European units in the UK. He commented, “As I head up the new UK Regional Office, I’m looking forward to further developing relationships with many of the UK and European customers that have been using Heavey RF’s services. I look forward to extending the presence of Heavey RF into the UK market and using it as a springboard to enter the European market.”

The company has seen significant customer momentum in the UK, winning business with several notable clients in the past twelve months, including DHL, Caterpillar, Poundworld, and Avon Products to name but a few.

Solutions provided by Heavey RF allow supply chains to use the latest technology to allow companies who have mobile workforces and products to compete in today’s economy.

“Our main strength is our technical ability and our understanding of all the components needed to deliver cost effective and operational solutions,” said Clinton. “Our clients each have unique needs, so we work with each individual client to form a solid business case and plan that aligns with their core business objectives. We have built up a track record of delivering a first class after sales service which we believe has become a key differentiating factor between us and other established UK players.”

Heavey RF has also unveiled a contemporary new look for its brand that more accurately reflects the company’s comprehensive areas of expertise and product portfolio of solutions. Page Cedarholm (Marketing Manager, Heavey RF) explained, “We have grown considerably over the past 10 years, so it was time to reflect the growth and evolution of the company.”
