GNB Industrial Power (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of Exide Technologies, has moved to new modern premises in Horwich, Bolton.

The move, which took place in mid-February, will put GNB Industrial Power in the ideal position to provide its customers with a total power solution. From materials handling applications from the Motive Power Division, and telecommunications, UPS and standby power applications from the Network Power Division; to batteries for trucks and cars from Exide Technologies (Transportation) Limited, GNB will be well placed to cater for all energy requirements.

The new facility will be shared with Exide’s Transportation business while still remaining two separate subsidiaries of Exide Technologies. The existing Trafford Park facility will handle both divisions’ logistics as well as battery assembly for GNB Industrial Power.

“GNB Industrial Power has had the capability of providing power for all applications for some time – not only motive power but also standby power and renewable energy applications, as well as diesel starting batteries,” explains Nigel Darke, Managing Director of GNB Industrial Power.  “This move to more modern premises will help us continue this development of new and innovative products.

“There will be no change to our customer’s day-to-day contacts during or after the relocation, and we have organised the move meticulously to ensure that there will be no disruption, with customers continuing to receive the same high level of service they are used to. This is an exciting time for GNB Industrial Power and we are looking forward to sharing it with our customers,” concludes Nigel.
