Euro Car Parts the UK’s largest supplier of parts and garage equipment for cars and light commercial vehicles servicing independent garages and retailers has relocated its national distribution centre to a 256,000 sq ft logistics facility built by Anglo Holt Construction in a contract worth £6.7 million.
The move by Euro Car Parts to Birch Coppice Business Park adjacent to junction 10 of the M42 in North Warwickshire comes as the company pursues its strategy to increase its branches to over 100.
Construction of the high specification steel portal framed building for client IM Properties which covers the size of seven football pitches, included 20 dock levellers and 4 level access doors and incorporates 12,000 sq ft of comfort cooled offices. The building was completed in 32 weeks.
Anglo Holt’s order book on phase one of IM Properties’ award winning 400 acre Birch Coppice development totals almost 400,000 sq ft of built environment in recent years. The West Bromwich based design and build specialist was also responsible for the construction of the £12 million Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal the most sophisticated rail freight interchange in the West Midlands.
