racking-lowEEZEHAUL, one of the largest logistic operators in the South, has quadrupled its warehousing facility to service increasing demand. The company has invested in a 80,000 square foot purpose built warehouse and fullfillment operation on Gatwick Road, Crawley, as part of its UK and European growth strategy.

With the unique position of being the only logistics company of its size and capability in the geographic region, Eezehaul can offer the region’s businesses an unrivalled logistics and supply chain management service – right on their door step.

Crawley itself has a growing industrial and business sector with many global organisations based there and Eezehaul aims to be a key faciltator in attracting even more business growth to the area. One company in Crawley remarked, “Until now we had 880 pallets of goods stored some 130 miles away in the north of England – but that’s all going to change for the better with this world-class service situated centrally in the region.”

Mark Duggan of Eezehaul, said: “The new facility and our half a million pound investment is a solid demonstration of our commitment to provide the full range of services in warehousing, fullfilment and distribution services to all regional, national and international clients.“

Located in a strategic position, close to London’s airports and the ports on the south coast, Eezehaul is ideally suited for inbound and outbound distribution throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF APPRENTICES

As a flexible operation that benefits from a highly skilled workforce, Eezehaul is also passionate about developing and nurturing a new generation of skilled workforce for the sector. This autumn it is taking on three apprentices in partnership with an FE College and the Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for Logistics sector. In a time when many operators in the sector tend to be unwilling to take on apprentices, these training placements are in hot demand. “The apprentices will benefit from being trained in a progressive and expanding company,” commented Sandra Slaughter, HR at Eezehaul.

EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICES

inside-warehouseWith dedicated racked pallet locations, picking and packing areas and the key ability to offer storage for oversized and bulky items, the new facility addresses Eezehaul’s growing business volumes, and the strong demand among customers for outsourced warehousing and fullfillment services.

“We have been increasingly asked by our clients to provide additional warehousing and services into Europe, and we are now able to provide this.”  says Mr Duggan.

A further £50k investment has also allowed Eezehaul’s 5,000 pallet-location to invest in a sophisticated Warehouse Management IT system. This allows Eezehaul to provide a full range of individually monitored activity. It also has useful KPI dashboard technology that helps optimise the overall warehouse performance. It enables customers with stock holding to have total web-based visibility ensuring stock and pick accuracy plus a process for advising the Ezeehaul team of goods intake to on-line order requests allowing traceability of products through the whole life-cycle.

Eezehaul has experienced much organic growth through new contract wins and expanded its range of services, since managing director, Mark Duggan, formed the company in 1998. He started with a small facility in Crawley and a contract to distribute papers for WH SMITH.

Now the company has a sophisticated warehousing and distribution facility, it is part owner of APC and TPN and has diversified into all aspect of logistics. The company has a turnover in the region of £7million. EEZEHAUL will continue to grow its market share in line with its recent investment.
