Leading one-way trip pallet exponent, IPP Logipal has signed up another customer in the food and drink sector after securing a new contract with Brecon Carreg, the Welsh natural mineral water producer.
Brecon Carreg is sourced deep within the Brecon Beacons National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Since 1983, the company has been part of the SPADEL Group, an international industrial group with activities focused on the bottling and marketing of natural mineral waters and also a varied range of refreshing drinks.
Under the multi-year deal, IPP Logipal makes regular deliveries on a standing order basis to the company’s site at Trap, Camarthenshire, with the added flexibility of being able to react quickly to meet changes to the customer’s needs.
Standard UK specification, four-way entry pallets are supplied from IPP Logipal’s regional stock management, refurbishment and distribution centre at Newport, Gwent.
Once a delivery has been made, using its simple one-way trip system, IPP Logipal then collects the pallets direct from the retailer and carries out the necessary quality control inspections before returning to its national pallet pooling network for re-use. This ensures its reputation for supplying high-quality pallets is maintained.
David Stockley, Finance and Customer Service Manager at Brecon Carreg, extols the virtues of a simple, high-quality and effective service, saying: “By changing to IPP Logipal we have gone from a complicated and costly system to a simple solution that enables us to operate much more cost effectively.
“We supply a premium product that consumers expect to be in perfect condition. It is important that our quality mineral water is handled with care and on a robust pallet platform that is accepted by all the UK’s leading retailer and wholesale sectors.
“With IPP Logipal we have the ideal partner, which also recognises that as a natural product we place an emphasis on the environmentally impact of our supply chain. Using a reusable and sustainable pallet system ensures the carbon footprint of the service is minimised.”
Using IPP Logipal’s web portal, ePalletPartner.com, Brecon Carreg can also easily place orders, manage invoices and keep track of deliveries throughout the supply chain. This allows effective visibility and efficient processing.
