Leading European storage equipment manufacturer, Constructor Group AS, has announced a number of changes to streamline its UK operations and utilise the Group’s significant resources to further strengthen its position in the UK market. These changes follow Constructor Group’s acquisition of Swindon based Planned Storage Systems (PSS), which has provided it with a first-rate location to create a distribution hub for its UK operation.
The company has appointed the Architect & Design Team of the property consultants, Kings Sturge, to provide bespoke designs for the complete renovation of the Group’s Swindon site. A major investment in the site, amounting to just over £1Million, will result in the old manufacturing plant being transformed into a modern, efficient distribution centre. This latest investment further demonstrates the financial commitment of Constructor Group, and its owners the Scandinavian based Altor Equity Partners, to further develop the UK market with its renowned Dexion, PSS and Bruynzeel brands.
The amalgamation of the Dexion, HiLo and PSS businesses has provided Constructor Group with extensive in-depth knowledge and expertise of the storage industry. Its Swindon distribution hub will form the primary site for the Group’s UK operations, housing its design team, distributor sales, project management and all key support functions

The Swindon premises were quite tired and didn’t reflect our modern approach to the storage marketplace, which customers expect from a leading storage provider. With the support of King Sturge we have formulated what we believe is an excellent platform to grow our position in the UK market.”
This new distribution hub will add to the Group’s existing UK warehouse facilities and provide a storage and cross docking operation for products delivered from other Group factories and third party suppliers. As well as retaining its current core range the Group will also be extending the portfolio of products it offers to the UK market.
