One of the UK’s leading suppliers of mezzanine floors has seen its future secured through new ownership.
Davicon, formerly a division of West Midlands industrial group Welconstruct Group Limited, has been acquired from the Administrators of its former parent company by Grove Industries Limited, the privately owned conglomerate headquartered in the West Midlands.
Davicon, which has traded for three decades, operates from a state of the art purpose-built mezzanine floor production facility, which is believed to be the largest manufacturing site for these products in the UK. The business employs 33 people in its Brierley Hill factory.
Davicon General Manager Peter Watson said: “Now that the uncertainty is over, and we have new and committed owners, we can be optimistic.
“We have a strong financial platform and shareholders who have demonstrated a hands-on and supportive approach to their businesses.
“This backing will be a powerful force, when allied to a strong base of clients and our investment in the latest design technology, linked directly to our state of the art manufacturing facilities.”
Joint administrators from KPMG in the Midlands were appointed to Welconstruct Group Limited on 10 September 2009.
