Storage Equipment Safety Service Ltd (SESS) has been carrying out Rack Safety Inspections of storage equipment since 1987, and is considered to be a market leader. Although 2008/2009 has been a bad year for businesses and the economy, SESS continues to invest resources into the research and development of new systems, methods and procedures so that they can provide a service in a way which enables clients to fully comply with the law.

As far as the recession is concerned, SESS have bucked the trend. They purchased new businesses premises last year, and have spent all of this year re-designing and refurbishing into a contemporary head office facility.

SESS are also about to launch a ‘roadshow’ of local conferences. Based around the HSE document HSG76 ‘Warehousing & Storage – A guide to health and safety’, it will be an informative session highlighting health and safety and other warehousing related safety matters. SESS will be visiting 5 major cities throughout the UK. Venues and dates are detailed below.

They will be having various guest speakers discussing topics such as warehouse safety, slips, trips and falls and general warehouse maintenance and auditing.  There will also be a session by the Freight Transport Association, and a keynote speaker from the Health and Safety Executive.
