PHS Teacrate customers in Wales and the Southwest can look forward to an improved service following the opening of a new larger service centre on their doorstep.
At 25,000 square feet, the new Avonmouth facility now has the capacity to store PHS Teacrate’s packaging consumables in addition to its full range of crates. The extra space brings with it the requirement for further personnel including additional drivers for an expanded fleet of delivery vehicles.
The location of the new state-of-the-art service centre provides access to good transport links and will enable Teacrate to easily fulfil its promise of next day delivery. Closer proximity to customers in Wales and the Southwest also means a reduction in drive time and mileage, cutting down on PHS Teacrate’s carbon footprint. Packaging previously had to travel from PHS Teacrate’s depot in Didcot, adding more than 80 miles to each journey.
Nick Burke, Commercial Director of PHS Teacrate explains the reasons for the new facility, saying, “Our ability to offer a true ‘one-stop-shop’ for removals firms has been a real hit with our customers. High demand for our packaging consumables has meant that we have had to review storage and vehicle scheduling to support our next day delivery promise throughout the UK. Hence, the requirement for the larger Avonmouth site which has doubled our storage capacity in the region.”
Bristol-based business removals company, Reloc8 Ltd has been a PHS Teacrate customer for 15 years and welcomes the opportunity to obtain both packaging and crates locally from a single reliable supplier.
