Already proven in many ‘Blue Chip’ companies all over the World across diverse industrial sectors, such as glass, building, chemical, agricultural, food and beverage companies, etc the Cover-Pal 6000 stretch hooding systems will provide strong storage constraints and a solution to handling very unstable loads and weatherproofing requirements.

The Cover-Pal 6000 machine is compact in size, saving on floor space and uses Thimon® patented technology to create the new generation of automatic stretch hooding modules. The new unit provides for reliable 5-sided wrapping of pallet loads, optimising on film characteristics in order to achieve strong stable loads and offer efficient environmental protection against dust, water and shipping damage that can occur during storage or transportation. The Cover-Pal 6000 stretch hood is ideal for wrapping products destined for warehouses, home centres, construction and freight yards.

The machine is capable of operating at very high speeds on products of different sizes, in contrast to systems that only function on a fixed series of pallet sizes. In addition to its three major advantages – ease of operation and maintenance, safety of operation and very high output – the Cover-Pal 6000 Stretch Hooding System provides total flexibility and is very easy to use, thus saving a great deal of time and reducing the amount of film consumed.

The stretch hood system begins with a rugged welded frame, and supports a gusseted film unwind system, an advanced hood sizing module and a hood stretch and application system. Up to two film rolls can provide ability to hood multiple size pallet loads on the fly. Multiple infeed, wrap area and exit conveyors are available to meet the most challenging application.

This ergonomically designed machine supports ease-of-use, fast changeover and plant safety objectives. The film threading circuit can be easily accessed at ground floor level so that reel changeover is simple, only takes a few minutes and also contributes to reduce film loss. The machine uses standard components, but can be modified to customer preferments if required.

Parallel hood creation and hood wrapping processes improves cycle time while providing the newly heat-sealed plastic hood one full machine cycle to cool and cure before being stretched onto the pallet. This ensures a higher level of film stretch capability than is typically found in other stretch hood machines. The mechanical hood opening system, using mechanical grips rather than vacuum plates, provides a positive pull on the film gussets assuring the correct opening of all film hoods.

Unique to this new generation machine is a patented method of film stretching that provides improved hooding reliability while treating your loads in a gentle and less crushing manner.

An optional rotating turntable provides capability for the machine to wrap the load if it is outside the normal film dimensions or machine limitations. This provides additional production flexibility with respect to completing the stretch hood quickly and reliably.

The whole unit offers unrivalled load size flexibility with the possibility to run varying film widths for different sizes of pallets. It also allows to easy wrap half-pallets moving long face leading, without having to turn them. The cycles available provide for the best optimisation to hood many new products with this efficient technology, reaching very high performances and saving costs.
