World of Baths, the UK’s leading online bathroom supplier, has focused on efficiency and achieving significant reductions in road miles by working in partnership with Palletline Member company, Anglia Freight Ltd.
Anglia Freight has successfully completed an in-depth review of the company’s supply chain requirements and now provides a bespoke distribution strategy for direct to customer deliveries, utilising the nationwide capabilities of the Palletline network.
World of Baths markets a quality selection of sanitaryware and accessories, and has a reputation for excellence in terms of customer support. Selecting the right partners to provide reliable and economical distribution services was a vital issue for the organisation.
“Finding an efficient and cost effective solution to ensure optimum delivery services for our customers was of paramount importance,” explained Graham Hawkes, Managing Director of World of Baths. “However, our brief was also to reduce road miles and achieve total transparency of stock and delivery movements to further streamline efficiency within the organisation.”
In line with these objectives, containers are now delivered from the port of Felixstowe to Anglia Freight’s modern distribution depot just 35 miles away in Eye, Suffolk. Here, containers are destuffed and goods put into stock utilising Anglia Freight’s advanced warehouse management systems.
Orders are then picked as required and distributed direct to home addresses throughout the UK through Palletline.
“All deliveries are booked in direct with the customer by our team here at Anglia Freight,” confirmed Geoff Moulton, Managing Director. “These delivery requirements are then carried out by our Palletline partners nationwide. We provide a total, tailored solution for World of Baths – complemented by digital signature capture facilities now rolled out across Palletline, enabling us to offer instant access to Proof of Delivery.”
World of Baths are delighted with the service provided, and as a result sister company and outdoor leisure specialist Tentastic is now moving its palletised deliveries to the same route.
