10es-71.jpgHyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE), the European branch of the Korean construction and materials handling equipment giant, has announced the forthcoming availability of a completely new range of Warehouse Equipment to complement its existing, well-accepted range of diesel, LPG and battery forklift and reach trucks. The new range comprises no less than 21 different battery-powered, Pallet Trucks and Stackers, with lift capacities from 1.0t to 2.2t.

In conventional, low-lift pedestrian Pallet Trucks, there are 4 (‘ET’) models:

16ET-7, 18ET-7, 20ET-7 and 22ET-7 (of 1600, 1800, 2000 and 2200 kg capacity respectively), and two additional (‘EP’) models, the 22EP6-7 and the slightly faster 22EP9-7 (both with 2200 kg capacity), which both offer the added facility of a convenient fold-down, ride-on platform for the operator.

In the range of hydraulic, pedestrian-controlled vertical mast Stackers, there are altogether 15 models. First in line are two compact, light-weight, single-mast (‘ES’) Stackers, the 10ES-7 (providing 1000 kg capacity to 2.8m lift height), and the 14ES-7 (giving 1400kg capacity to 900mm).

Next, in the range of Stackers, there are Light, Medium and Heavy-duty models: 3 Light (‘LS’) models, 10LS-7, 12LS-7 and 14LS-7, provide capacities of 1000, 1200 and 1400kg, all with lift heights from 1510 to 4340mm.

They are joined by two initial lift ‘L’ versions, the 14MSL-7 and the 16MSL-7, with duplex or triplex mast and full free lift as an option.

The same principle goes for the four Heavy-duty Stackers. There are two basic (‘HS’) models, the 1600 and 2000kg capacity 16HS-7 and 20HS-7, with lift heights of 1510 to 5400mm, and again two special ‘L‘ versions, 16HSL-7 and 20HSL-7 with initial lift and full free lift as an option.

Finally, there are two Double-lift (’DS’) 2000kg capacity Stackers, the 20DS-7 and 20DSP-7, both offering lift heights from 1725 to 2125mm, and the ‘P’ version with a ride-on platform.

The new range was announced at a dealer conference held at HHIE’s European headquarters in Geel, Belgium. Mr Hwang, managing director, said: “Our plan is to provide our dealers with the widest possible range of top quality material handling equipment, to enable them to compete effectively in all sectors of the market with reliable, efficient and cost-effective products. It is Hyundai’s belief that operators, who take pleasure in their work, do a better job. That is why Hyundai markets machines following four product values: preference, precision, performance and profitability.”

Preference, he explained, comes from offering the customer a closely defined spectrum of options and choices, which this wide new range of precisely specified Warehouse Equipment clearly does. Precision is achieved through their compact design, enabling the most precise manoeuvres in packed warehouses with limited space. Performance points to the quality build of all Hyundai machines. And finally, Hyundai Warehouse Equipment was developed with efficiency and value for money in mind, making it a profitable choice.

The whole new Hyundai Warehouse Equipment range will be produced in Europe under an OEM agreement and available on sale through European Hyundai dealerships, from November 2008.
